“The Letter L”

The topic for this week’s photography assignment was “The Letter L,” thus focusing on all kinds of things that begin with the letter L.

The following photos are my four submissions:

Starts with L, #1 – (Archived, January 2018)
“Logs in Winter”

(even though the way our April is going lately – with the same amount of snow (sheesh!) – it could be Logs in Spring, hahaha!)

“Laddoo”
Coconut Sesame, in this case. An East Indian dessert that we (a handful of keen students! 🙂 ) learned how to make in cooking class, led by an Indian Chef.

“Lights”
At my first Santana concert in Kingston, Ontario. I took many photos of the show, and I love how in this photo those yellow lights pop out and their rays splay out, and how their yellow hues light up the audience heads below – looking at it from top to bottom and back to top – full circle.

A different kind of Sundae!

IMG_3778

This is a Pineapple Upside-down Cake Sundae!!

And it tastes as delicious as its long name – hahaha!

It’s a layering of french vanilla ice cream on the bottom, then some food processor-crumbled, days-old pound cake, topped with a pineapple ‘n sugar ‘n cinnamon sauce, a swirl of whipped cream, and a maraschino cherry on top.  YUM!!

Learned this one in Tuesday’s cooking class, and I definitely wanted to try it! I end up making most of the dishes that we learn in class. The family enjoys them.  😀

I haven’t posted anything about food in quite a while; I figured I was due.  ❤
